Summer Pre-College Portfolio Intensive
In-person one or two week sessions in Paris
Participants work side by side with motivated peers in the heart of the Marais, Paris. This immersive program supports the development of a strong portfolio while cultivating artistic growth and independent, critical thinking.
Through focused guidance and hands-on making, students are encouraged to step beyond their comfort zones and explore new concepts, techniques, and ways of working—often producing more ambitious and sophisticated work than they thought possible.
About the course:
The program is offered as two one-week sessions, with six hours of instruction per day.
Students choose one of three pathways, depending on their interests and goals:
Art
Fashion
Architecture
No prior art experience is required.
What the Course Covers:
Individual evaluation of each student’s current work and interests
Customized assignments designed to develop a strong and coherent body of work
Guidance on building portfolio content aligned with specific schools and programs
Support in conceiving and executing ambitious projects across a range of media
Development of critical and conceptual thinking, including the use of language, through discussion of relevant historical and contemporary artists, artworks, and ideas
Strategies for presenting work effectively and constructing a compelling, well-sequenced portfolio
